Ana Elena's Window

Our Story:
In August 2008, I went to my country to visit family. To my surprise I found out my younger cousin was a designer. An entrepreneur since very young age, Irené, has dazzled us with her many inspirations.

Danielle and I are very excited to introduce to NYC a little piece of Costa Rica. My name was chosen for so many reasons, from the melody, the hoops, and ultimately that represents the Latin roots I am starting to share with everybody.

I started talking about ideas with a friend that loves the dresses and shirts. Our meetings started as informal as it gets, in the R train, going back home from dinners and partying in the city (NYC). Danielle became the sales director among friends ... You go girl!!!

Very soon I was contacting successful business men in the trade with tons of experience and interest in teaching new fellas.

August 21, we had our first taste of the clothes... we became models for a day... and had a photo shoot... it was so much fun!!! Some of the pictures are posted in this page.

August 30, 2009 we met with Alex for lunch in one of my favorite restaurants in Park Slope... with a truffle chocolate cake that keeps on giving!!!... Anyway, Alex, who recently came from a leadership training in California, recommended us to get organized, defining roles, and positioning of the product... we had some ideas in the process. Thanks Alex!!!

September 3, I ordered first biz cards!!! Yay!!!

We are planning another more professional photograph shoot soon.

The Designer:
Irené's designs are being recognized in magazines and new papers in Costa Rica.

The Clothing:
Rain Forest, tropical and exotic beaches on paradise inspired part of the line and now we are bringing them to you to the city.

Most of the material is super soft cotton that runs through your fingers and contours to your natural beauty.

The line is based on exclusive designs and fabrics ... they are not two of a kind yet. How often can you say you have an original ; )

Owning color, curves with a minimalistic style her designs bring very tasteful combination.

The design on the right has two flowers in white on top of the shirt which represent the part of the tropical influence of Irené's pieces. This is one of the shirts that most people are loving!!! Although I have to say it's very difficult to choose... between you and me, sometimes I want to keep them all for my self ; )

Serigraph-styles are also available for our more arty customers like the one below. All serigraphy work is done manually using wood prints with lots of care.

More to come soon!!!
